Ice on the picnic table.

I really liked this picture from the icestorm in February. I'm no expert on photography, but I think it works because a lot of the branches from the tree are making diagonal lines across the frame and some interesting lighting. I also decreased the contrast to soften the image slightly.

This is from an ice storm this past February that I finally got around to downloading off my camera. Though I don't remember planning for it, I really like the light streaks coming off the sun.

I was finally in a place with some flowing water. One of the many streams trickling into the Delaware River.

Some frost on my car.

A leaf stuck in ice. I thought it was cool that the ice over the leaf retained the leaf's shape.

Not a whole lot to photograph around here lately. This one didn't turn out exactly like I'd like it, but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities over the course of the winter.

Ice Formations

Yesterday the High never got above 19 degrees and then got down to 4 at night. The water around here was unfrozen prior to that. These interesting little ice formations formed on top of the ice and I thought they looked pretty cool so I took the picture. It's been a while since I've been out taking pictures because things have been so busy at work. It was nice to get out and I wish I could do it more often.

Goodbye Winter

Since winter is pretty much over, I wanted to post one more wintry picture. This is a picture from an ice storm in North Carolina. As you can see the ice was pretty thick and caused some pretty massive power outages. Our apartment was among one of the last places to have power restored 8 days later.
