More fireworks.  18 mm, ISO 1600, F/10, 2.5 sec. exposure.

Some 4th of July pictures.  We were very close, so I aimed the camera higher.  Looking back, I wish I hadn't.  This is one of the first and I really liked the reflection of the fireworks in the cars below.  All the pictures after I moved the camera left the cars out of the pictures.  18 mm, ISO 1600, F/10, 2.5 sec. exposure.

Fireworks

We went to St. Louis this 4th of July and we set out our spot for fireworks watching early so that I could take pictures of fireworks through the Arch. I think it would have turned out great had the wind not been blowing towards us, pushing smoke in front of our view.

Lit up like the fourth of JULY!

My lack of posting shows quite clearly that I was only using my camera being broken as an excuse, the truth is that I am a slacker. I just keep forgetting my camera when I go out, and it has lead to a couple of missed opportunities. But tonight, I actually did remember and decided to try my hand at taking pictures of fireworks. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, so much so that I am breaking with tradition and posting two pictures. Happy 4th of July!
