Depressed Bear

Although I enjoy taking my kids to the zoo occasionally because they like seeing the different animals, I don't envy the animals that were unlucky enough to end up there. Especially animals that have a large range in the wild like polar bears. I thought this picture captures what it must be like to be a polar bear confined to a small pen for life.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks that way. I feel sorry for the larger animals too. The big cats always seem to be pacing, but they don't have anywhere to go. They all seem to have a glazed look in their eye too, but that's probably just me being melodramatic.

They are glazed from the antidepressant medication they receive in their food. :)
